Just looking at the front wheels on the beetle. Tyres worn, and unevenly too. Question is this.

1. Wheel alignment...any special requirements for the beetle?

2. Tyre size. Tyres seem a little bit unusual. 175 60 R15 on front and 195 65 R15 on rear. Is this an advisable size?

Wheel alignment is the same as any other car. With regards to the tyre sizes it can depend on personal preference etc. my old beetles I always used to run either 205's or 195's one the rear with 145's on the front but if your wanting something more stock you could go 165's all round

So long as there's nothing wrong with what I am running, and the wheel alignment is the same as any other car, I will just send dad to the local tyre centre with a shopping list.
