I'm asking if you have problems with:
Limescale?
Rust?
Ground-in dirt?

They're a challenge for some cleaners, but not for Cillit Bang!

Hi Barry, welcome to the site.

I think I might have seen you on the TV, your name seems familiar.

I have a question, could I use Cilit Bang instead of POR 15 rust remover? It seems to have the desired effect on dirty pennies, would it removed 35 years of rust on cheap german metal? I see it comes in a trigger bottle just like POR 15 so it must work right!?

Thanks

It will certainly remove rust (as well as limescale and ground-in dirt, which, did I mention can be a challenge for some cleaners?)

Leave it long enough, it will even remove the metal too!

Experiment on a bit of old rusted metal first the same type as what's on your VW first. Be ready to wash it off before the metal gets eaten away.

that sounds brilliant,

I think what I will do is soak my car in Cillit Bang, it will dissolve all of the metal and then I will never have any rust problems again. I think I can put up with a bit of a breeze for the sake of never having rust problems again!

What Mr Scott has failed to mention is you can get Asda's own brand Cillit Bang (called K-Blast or summat similar) for less than half the price of Cillit Bang and it appears to be the same stuff!

I wouldn't touch the stuff, Cillit Bang is the way forward, don't be fooled by cheap imposters. Brand loyalty is important, how is poor Barry meant to be able to afford to service his Ferrari if we buy the fake stuff?

Quite right Mr Blue Bug, accept no imitations!

Cillit Bang is the only cleaner that's endorsed by me, Barry Scott!

Barry, I've been reliably informed that you will be able to remove the rusted bolts on my golf's water pump pulley using only your teeth? Is this true? :?:

Andy, I forget how many times I've been asked to remove the rusted bolts on Golf water pulleys (almost as many times as I've been asked to remove the rusted rear torsion bar cover bolts from Bugs!)

Of course I can remove them with my teeth - all it takes is a spray of Cillit Bang first and it's easy!

Barry, you absolute legend. I'll no longer fear my water pump going (cillit) bang, excuse the pun....
